What we want:
Free Nationalized Health Care.
Is socializing health care anti-American?
No. We have a socialized military, police force, fire department, ambulance service, libraries,
K-12 schools and Medicare, back to work programs, ADA program, to name a few. In San Diego, we have a free computer college for adults with 400-500 free computer classes per semester; the name of the school is called North City Campus and it’s funded by the State of California. We have many socialized services for Americans and we don’t think of these services as anti-American, do you?
Why I want Nationalized Health Care:
We the People of the United States are the most important part of the United States equation. As the richest country in the world, our government can easily offer free health care to all Americans. “…one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” However, we are divided. Those that can afford health care and those who can’t. Americans are dying everyday in America because we don’t have nationalized health care. Isn’t it anti-American that citizens of the United States are dying today because they can’t afford health care? Yet we are spending money everyday to kill people? In my book, killing others (in an unjust war and a war not sanctioned by the United Nations) is anti-American and treasonous.
How can we do this effectively?
We take the best ideas of nationalized health care from other countries (which have nationalized health care) and we make our nationalized health care program the best in the world.
Where do we find the money?
Our Nationalized Health Care system would be funded by using a small percentage of the military budget. Our military budget is the highest of any country in the world. We can afford to reduce the military budget slightly and therefore we don’t need to raise any taxes. Nationalizing health care in the US is a war against greed. The greed of corporations and the greed of dirty politicians. If we can find the money to kill people, we can find the money to heal people.
When do I want this process to start?
We want the process to begin Nationalized Health Care to start immediately.

I just finished watching Sicko, and am angered to the point of action; great job, Michael Moore! I recently graduated college, $35,000 dollars in debt, and am paying off more than $1,000 dollars in medical bills due to no health insurance --- for migraines. I am a biochemist graduate, with a 40hr a week job. I would have loved to go on to medical school to help those in need, but (1) I can't afford it now, and (2) I don't want to work in a system as messed up as this is right now. I would gladly pay a little more in taxes each year if it meant I could stop suffering from severe, debilitating migraines that force me to call in sick to work. Please please please keep pushing this issue; I know I will. I'll convince everyone I know to see Sicko and to make the decision on their own. Thank you!

Thank you Michael Moore for having the courage to tell the TRUTH! The media and government are relentless on finding ways to discredit your movies, but you don't give up! I wish we had more people like you in the world. (Ever think about running for office?:) We need to spread the word about HR-676 and stop allowing the greedy in this country take away our rights as human beings. We can make it happen if we all pull together.

I was shocked and disgraced when I saw this movie. How can we treat people like garbage thrown in the street. We should be ashamed as Americans that we are letting this kind of treatment happen to human beings. This movie touched me so much that I feel I have to do my part as a citizen of the United States to some how make a difference. We can not be apathetic about this.

I say that if you are currently giving money to the health insurance companies, stop. They live because of the money we send them. We die because they don't want to pay any back. It's been too long since "we the people" have had a revolution. This is not a demon that can be slain by the sword, it must be starved. Say "no" to the insurance companies, support this legislation, bring this giant down.

Health care is a human right and a FAMILY value! We cannot call ourselves a Christian nation and let some 47 million of our citizens go without care; it's a moral outrage and a disgrace to our nation. We are the only industrial country on the face of the earth that does not provide healthcare to all of its citizens, regardless of income or previous health conditions.

For 30 years I worked hard, paid my taxes and tried to be an active, informed good citizen. Then came crippling health problems that forced me to stop working. BUT the Social Security Administration said I wasn't disabled enough... and I had to wait ten years to get disabled enough. By then, of course, I had no insurance and couldn't qualify for Social Security Disability... it's a trap. None of this needed to happen if I had been able to have access to doctors who could have certified my disability... We need medical care for ALL available NOW!

Today I will hold another person's hand as they breath their last breath. It could be your mother,

Sad thing is these people aren't just the uneducated poor; many are educated middle and sometimes once upper class citizens.

I want to live in a country that values peace and the well-being of its own citizens over warmongering. I want the United States to become the positive role model for the world that it should be and can be. Every person's life should have equal value, and money should play no role in determining who gets to live and who must die. Passing HR-676, non-profit Medicare for All, will be a great start toward putting our country on an honorable path once again.

Wake up Washington, The time is now for Medicare for all. So many business choose to leave the country because of the high cost of health insurance for their employees. Unemployment has sky rocketed because company's choose to do business where they do not have the burden of insurance for their employees. When will it stop, when do WE THE PEOPLE deserve the same treatment that a terrist prisoner receive in the U.S.prison camps.

The last time I checked the Constitution of the United States began with WE THE PEOPLE, A bill has been proposed, non-profit Medicare for All, that outlines a national health care program that will provide guaranteed affordable health care and prescription drugs to everyone in the country, why is no one listening? Over 12,000 doctors have signed on in favor of this plan, including two former U.S. Surgeons General. THE PEOPLE are tired of Insurance company stay rich tactics while most people loose everything when their health fails them. I lost my job due to down sizing of the company that I was employed. The end of January I will no longer have health coverage. I have not been ill and I pray I do not become ill. We are the only country in the world that advertise precription drugs on television, what does that say for the Precription drug companies? What does that say for America. WE THE PEOPLE ARE SPEAKING and I think it is time someone listens.

As a nation we have a moral obligation to provide for those who cannot provide for themselves. The right to life ,liberty, and the pursuit of happiness cannot be realized while standing in the shadow of potential physical, finantial, and mental ruin due to a capricious predatory healthcare system. Please support HR676. Access to healthcare is an entitlement for us all. It is a crime that the ability to be treated by a Doctor when you are ill, is a luxury in this country!
Millions of us who are considered middle class, work everyday to support ourselves and our families but yet we have no ability to afford medical care when we are sick. We watch as people we love suffer with pain and illness, all b/c we just don't have the money to ease there physical suffering.
Congress needs to understand that if you don't dedcide to stand up for us and support HR 676, it will cost you your seat in the house! Face it, the uninsired/under insured in this country is a group 50 million strong, and that number is only going to grow. We will vote you out if you continue to ignore us!!!

I am ready for a 50 MILLION MAN march on Washington!!! We should not stop fighting until we get what we need and deserve. I think the American expatriate living in France said it best in SICKO that in other countries, the governments are afraid of the people, but in the U.S, the people are afraid of the government. In Europe, and other countries, people revolt and go on strike all the time, from wanting higher wages to not getting enough vacation days! Why are we so afraid of the government? Have we forgotten that the government is ours? Why are we so afraid to revolt, and to DEMAND what is inherently ours? Especially when we know that our family members, friends, and neighbors are dying due to greed? Where is the justice for these people? How can this be happening in the "best country in the world"? How can we say that America is the best country in the world when it has no regard for its citizens? When it places a higher value on the "almighty dollar" than the life of an 18 month old baby? I was born and raised in Italy and now am a citizen of the U.S. and have always been baffled by the healthcare system here. It is a gross insult and injustice to the American people, whom I find to be the most generous and giving people of the world, to not be taken care of by its government, when it constantly asks its people to take care of the rest of the world.

I just watched Sicko. It made my husband so mad he went to bed and I watched to the end and also am infuriated. We are some of the fortunate who do have insurance but could end up like the couple who had to live with the daughter because they were bankrupt from the copays and deductibles and premiums. I have illness that should we lose our insurance I could not buy my medication or see my doctors. Thus die an early death. We are on a fixed income, are not wealthy but would like to somehow protest and help to reverse the Insurance Companies and medicine manufacturers wealth enormous profits and get healthcare for everyone without the astronomical expense. Bravo to Michael Moore who had guts enough to make Sicko

Health care for all is long overdue. People are dying everyday because of the politics concerning the health care profession.
In a democracy we should be stating what is and is not for sale and I think the American's health should be one that's NOT FOR SALE. Would you please see that using our health as a way to make tons of money is wrong. Nothing good can come from this.
This is easily attainable. We have more than enough money for this, it's just a matter of doing what's right.
It is time to stop this madness. Health should never be for sale to the highest bidder or the biggest contributor. Let's fix this huge problem. And politicians won't be surprised. They know this as they already have free health care.

If you are afraid of a national health care because of taxes heres one great statement. You pay for your healthcare now most of us pay a enormous amount on healthcare. Those of us who have healthcare pay straight from our paychecks just as we would if we had national healthcare. I know people who pay $300 dollars a month for healthcare and others who pay $80. Others pay nothing a month and suffer, they pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to be checked out by a doctor. You pay for healthcare anyways why not just continue to pay and help all. Those families that don't have healthcare who receive medical attention weigh on your tax dollars anyways. YOU pay for these people anyways there is no stopping it. Even if you have wonderful healthcare wait till they tell you no and you have to pay out of your pocket. Think it won't happen it will, everyone gets denied eventually, unless your a politician, actor, or a CEO, are you one of these people. Take the money out of hand's of the HMO's and the insurance companys, give the money back to the people. Save a life today vote for a healthcare system that works for you, you shouldn't have to work for them. You should not be afraid of your life due to health. As a country a modern country who prides it's self on it's care of it's people we lack the compassion to care for one another. The goverment doesn't care for you and you think no one cares for you. People care for you, care for another, your politicians don't care for you, the care for your money . You should not be afraid of your goverment your goverment should be afraid of you.

I am in my early 30's and have worked physically demanding jobs since I was old enough to work. I have had three children and only one of them live with me as a result of my inability to insure them. I chose to have their grandparents raise them because the insurance companies would not cover them unless the carrier of the insurance had primary physical custody. I did not trust covering my children through the welfare office. Furthermore, I could not manage to take help away from anyone less fortunate. I was blessed to have family who could help, others are not. I have scoliosis and spondylolthesis grade II (spinal growth and bone disorders)and Hypothyroidism since age 12. I have finally reached a point of possible paralysis with one "wrong" move or fall. I am uninsured and have been ignored and hung up on by specialists after revealing it. I cannot express enough how badly we need this. Especially since I know many, many, many are living worse than I.

I spent five years working for the WI Medicaid program and the government already knows how to run health care. The folks who work for Medicare and Medicaid could easily be transitioned into National Health Care positions.
People are dying in this country from lack of health care (without adequate preventative care what we really have is more like "sick care") while the very few and elite get richer and richer. It's a broken system.

There is a gap between state medicaid and medicare. States cannot approve medicaid until medicare first approves it. Many get lost in the cracks. One couple has the man with colorectal cancer, since first of the year. Went to Children & Families and applied for assistanc even temporary. Was told, you don't qualify for food stamps since you don't have children living with you, but if you want to apply for anything, there is the computer help yourself. These people didn't finish high school, have no insite into computer use. Really sloppy work.

My cousin has Leukemia and she calls her coverage good because she received quick approval of her claim. Approval of a claim for treatment of a disease which will kill her without it. When did we become a nation in which someone else gets to decide if you live or you die? And when do a bunch of people in suits get to decide what your life is worth? For her, it's $2000 a month. I am shocked and appalled at our current system and it is long past time for a change.

my mother and I no longer have health insurance. I have not seen my family doctor for about 5 years because I cant afford to. I have an bad back and went into debt trying to get better because I lost my health insurance when I could no longer work at my old job. My mother has health problems. She doesnt get her preventative tests because she cant afford them. If she gets insurance they still wont pay because they say its a pre-existing condition. She has trouble walking because her knee is shot. She needs to have a knee replacement and again we dont have the money and if she manages to get insurance, its a pre-excisting condition or they make the premiums and deductable so high we cant afford it anyhow. So she take tylenol or advil and sits at home after work. I try to help as much as I can but I have a bad back with makes a lot of things difficult. We need universal healthcare. People should not live in pain just because they cant afford to see doctors or have surgery.

It is time for a change. The American people, living under the supposed blanket of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are entitled to these inalienable rights as forged by our founding fathers - regardless of financial position. No longer should the citizens of our nation suffer needlessly. No longer should stockholders and the almighty dollar dictate the health of the people. No longer should outrageous insurance premiums bankrupt the middle and lower class. I demand nonprofit healthcare for all, on behalf of those citizens lacking the means or fortitude to stand united against rampant greed. Support Conyers and Kucinich, and HR 676. The time is NOW.

It's a shame when we have to think about either paying for our children's education or continuing our healthcare coverage. We pay over 10,000 dollars a year for coverage which includes 2,500 dollar deductibles for each of us. This year has been hard on us as we have had some health issues. To date we already have spent 14,000 dollars on insurance and services which fell under our deductible. Our income is around 65,000 per year. That's 21 percent of our income for healthcare. I am an office administrator and I see many of our employees that do not carry insurance at all. They simply can't afford it on 12.00 and 13.00 an hour jobs. It is urgent that our government take action. We need help.

It is a travesty that we live in the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world, yet we are unable to provide citizens with proper health care. HR 676 is a revolutionary and important piece of legislation that must be passed! We simply can not leave this corrupt system for future generations to deal with. I thank Representative Steve Cohen for having the wisdom to back this legislation and ask the other Representatives of Tennessee to follow suit.

Please sponsor or support, if you are not already doing so, HR676. This legislation is important to all citizens of the United States, and there is no reason that the wealthiest country in the world cannot make sure that all its citizens have access to inexpensive, comprehensive health care. I am in a high-risk group for breast cancer, but I haven't had a mammogram in more than 10 years. Can't afford it. Not after paying $800 a month for 3 people for insurance with $2500 deductible per person.
That's $9600 a year just in premiums, and co-pays for my husband's maintenance meds are $120/month. So that is $1440 for medications. Running total: $11,040. Then there are the co-pays on his blood tests and doctor's office visits. Altogether, that comes out to almost as much as my annual take-home pay--and that assumes that my son and I don't make any claims.
Did I mention that if I miss a single payment, the insurance disappears forever? (Husband is considered uninsurable, and he is in a pool with other uninsurable folks in our state.) With no insurance, his maintenance meds cost $600 a month. And no back-up plan if he has a heart attack or is in a car accident.
We have house repairs we can't do, maxed-out credit cards, and we have not yet turned on the heat. After all, the coldest it has gotten is 37 degrees in the daytime after 26 degrees at night--not quite cold enough for the pipes to freeze. We make due with a small woodstove that only heats 3 rooms, and three electric space heaters.

I'm scared to death. If anything were to happen we wouldn't make it. I'm pursuing a Masters of Social Work and I am afraid what would happen if we had a child. There is no reason that wealthy in the United States have a right to live and the poor should die because of the circumstances that they were born into. I'm tired of being lied to. People who do the best that they can and work, instead of stealing, commit fraud, selling drugs or anything else will die because they are poor and moral.
|
| Michael Rypka | TX |
This would benefit our country gratly and less people would die of unneccesary deaths. Longer lives, more security and overall less stress in our society. If we are leaders in the world, then our government needs to lead us to better health, happier lives, and less stress worrying about our health.

After recently watching the Michael Moore movie "Sicko", I ask myself why has this issue has not been resolved already. It makes no sense at all why our own U.S. government would deny it's citizens the right to a national health care system that truly works for it's own people. SPREAD THE WORD!

I think it is time to move past the profiteering of private insurance copanies and provide every citizen of our country with adequate health care. It is not acceptable to continue to allow private insurance companies to make decisions (and profits) concerning the medical treatment and health of the American people. It is appauling to know that our government and country is allowing her citizens to suffer because they can not afford medicine and/or medical care. It is appauling to know that they are forcing families to go bankrupt due to the high cost of medical treatment. It is appauling to know that they are allowing Americans to die rather than provide them health care. Shame on America. It is time for our country to resume her standing as a "great nation" of the world rather than continue her slide to the bottom of the heap. As a citizen of the 8th District I urge you to support HR676. I know you support medical care for the children, but their parents need coverage also. They need to be healthy to continue to work and provide for their families.

I have been living without health insurance for almost 6 years now. It has taken it's toll on me and my finances. I currently sit here typing this with a broken bone I could not seek help to repair. I am a single mother with two children and I do not qualify for medicaid. I make too much money, yet I cannot afford private health coverage. I see illegal aliens all the time with their medicaid cards and food stamps. Why is it we can justify giving someone who does not legally belong in our country much less pay taxes here insurance coverage than our own who do pay taxes??? Something isn't right here and changes need to be made. If not, some of the single moms of the world like me may die of the common cold because we couldn't get medication to fight it and therefore our children will be raised on welfare because they are orphaned. Changes people - oh yeah and I vote!

Starting when I was only fourteen years old, I have honestly disliked my country. I didn't yet know all the in's and out's. However, recognizing the greed wasnt hard to see. I've always said "one day I will leave this place." But its not as easy as it sounds. Im hoping with enough effort we can change it in any way we can. Can we undo whats been done? We cant change those people, but we may just take back our lives and so called "freedom". In the end of things and making this big noise we will have you to thank. You are giving people the hope they have lost to speak and have a voice again. So in the end of things, im starting to feel like running away is not what we should do. We should fight to make this place better! Make it something to be proud to call "home". Thank you Michael Moore.

I am a 48 year old single mother without health insurance. I lost my job in May of 2007 and could not afford coverage under the COBRA program. My 2 children are covered by their father's policy, which I am thankful for. I was shocked when I attempted to apply for Medicare assistance, as I take several perscriptions, including one for high blood pressure. I was told that since my children were not in need of state coverage - I was disqualified for assistance. After much research, I found a few programs that offered disounted medical care, however, not always affordable and with long waiting list to get into the system. I think it is ashame that in the United States of America we have so many people without health insurance! How can we as parents take care of our children when we can't take care of our own medical needs? I beg of you to pass bill HR676!

America's elected officials must support every citizen's right to health care. We find ourselves, unlike the rest of the industrialized countries, buried deep in the greed and profiteering of private insurance companies. We must collectively demand that our citizens do not have to grovel to receive essential health care. A single payer system cuts costs, duplication of services, and maximizes the per patient expenditure of precious health care dollars. Think for the good of America, not the corporations. Think universal, single payer health care.

So I have been suffering for two years and wondering where I am going to find about #30,000 to save my face and skull!!!! What in the world am I paying premiums for???? It won't even cover IV sedation at the dentist. Forget the fact that I need premedication for a heart problem. This is absolutely ridiculous. Then the insurance company increases it's premiums so I had to drop down a level of coverage. This is supposed to be the great U.S of A. and it has the worst health care in the world!!!!

I demand that Congress take immediate action to address this health problem in the USA. We rate 66th in the world, even below small, poorer countries like Cuba! There are people of all ages dying from preventable diseases and illnesses, even from dental problems. That is a shameful disgrace!
A healthy nation is a prosperous nation.
I support H.R. Bill 676, a healthcare plan that would be provided to EVERYONE by the US government...citizen or alien alike with no out-of-the-pocket costs no matter what you are seeking medical attention for - mental health, glasses, dental, preventative care, treatment & care for diseases, immunizations, tests, lab, maternity care, infant & children, the elderly, veterans, military, the rich & the poor alike; citizen or alien. Americans should have free or low-cost affordable prescriptions for all medical needs and treatments.
The world is now so mobile today that preventing the transmission of diseases from country to country should be paramount in considering health care for this country. That alone is enough reason to consider passing this bill, but we have got to do this for every reason. It is the right time and the right thing to do!
Support and pass H.R. 676 NOW!
Americans demand it!

But, if I get sick with a serious disease and lose my job...what then. I have Cobra for 18 months... and then what? I don't make enough money to have alot set aside in case of what if? I think this country should be working toward a national health care systme like alot of European countries. Therefore, I support this bill.

I have typeII diabetes and have had to forgo medical screenings like mamograms and pap smears since my "limited benifit" insurance, offered by the company I work for, gets maxed out for the year. This should never be.

I am one of the fortunate individuals in this great country: I am healthy and have health-care insurance through my employer. Having said that, I've always thought it ridiculous that stockholder-owned healthcare companies serve as gate-keepers between me and my doctor. The pressure on the insurance companies to deny coverage is too strong. It is simply not right and it's it's time to take a stand for a national heath care system. That's why I am urging support H.R. 676.

As a disabled American that is underinsured even with Humana Medicare, my monthly co-pay's do not leave enough for my monthly living expenses. I get $700 a month in Social Security Disability... my co-pay's run me over $400 a month. I am a Patriot born in America that is thoroughly disgusted by our government and the health care industry. Enough is enough!

I FEEL VERY STRONG ABOUT SUPPORTING HR 676 MEDICARE FOR ALL. I HAVE HEALTH AND PRESCRIPTION INSURANCE BUT HAVE TWO CATASTROPHIC ILLNESSES AND AM WHAT YOU CALL UNDERINSURED. IF YOU POLITICIANS CAN GIVE YOURSELF A RAISE FORSURELY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE CAN BE GIVEN HR 676 JIM HALL.

These congressmen need to be reminded that the payoff there taking, is American voters money! My money, blood money, payed to a for profit insurance company so I can go to the doctors and "co- pay" for my visit. Just like the HMO's and big pharmaceutical companies, drum politicians out of congress for mentioning free universal healthcare. We the people need to vote out all congressmen that take the payoff and refuse us, the best nation in the world, the best healthcare system. By the way, for less money then were paying now! Every vote against H.R. 676 must be held accountable! Sincerely, Robert Winder

We need this healthcare system to pass, everyone deserves the medical attention they need, not be turned away. This issue really digust me because we are supposed to set the example for the rest of the world but yet we are lacking, and we need to set the bar high for the world to emulate.

National healthcare is NOT a want or a choice, but a necessity of our freedoms. Any country that divides its own humanity by prioritizing the greed of a few individuals inevitably faces internal revolutions, riots and wars.
I'd rather my taxes and the $120.00 a month I pay in health insurance be helping people like Lorainne Burquist than burning another whole in some rich man's pocket and war is just not my thing. How about you?
Count me in on the HR 676 petition!

Pass this bill for the many, many people out there like Lorraine Burquist. You'll never know what and when a disease or long-term/fatal illness will tap you on the shoulder. Pass the HR 676 bill NOW. I beg you, for her sake.

I am a 15 month cancer survivor; a "fortunate" insured (currently) with the stress of becoming an uninsurable when my COBRA runs out shortly; whose treatment needs to continue beyond COBRA; a "fortunate" insured whose out-of-pocket insurance premium runs runs over $10,000/yr; a "fortunate" whose deductible and co-pays have taken my breath away almost as much as the cancer has. A "fortunate" insured who could die if I cannot find a path toward health care ... and soon. These stresses do NOT need to be added to this disease. I am a medical professional; a Physical Therapist Assistant. I beg the system that I work for and the country in which I do that work to allow me life that I may continue to serve. I beg that you please pass HR 676.

I, as a tax paying, seasonal federal employee, am tired of being without healthcare!!! I live behind the "redwood curtain" of northern Californai, & in watching your documentary, realize how bad our media coverage is up here having no clue about Bill 676, b/f your mention. It just angers me how liberal our news sources are!
As I actually now sit here sick with a nasel infection, I am hopeful in my lifetime (I'm 29) I'll see universal health care. God has graced me to turn my life around from having been homeless for a period of my life in CA, when I was socially supressed and the Medi Cal system had no problem giving me Co-Pay health insurance and food stamps. In the following 4 years, as I got my life back together and jobs, I have been denied health insurance every time, even though I have a life long need to get med's & doctor's appoinment's. I'm really glad I watched your film, as I was looking into "buying" insurance after not having it over 5 years. I have prexisiting conditions, that I was sure to have to pay a lot for anyway. I am very indebted to you Mr Moore for being a long-needed catalyst on this issue, even though this response is late per the voting, I wanted to say thank you for your efforts, and please CONTINUE THE SURGE, WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS IGNORANT AND GREEDY SYSTEM ANY LONGER!!
I'll continue looking for your leadership and seek ways through your website to be informed on protesting the state of our healthcare, etc.
THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN!, FOR TEACHING ME ABOUT THE INDUSTRY AND FILLING IN ALL THE LINGERING QUESTIONS ON HOW THE INDUSTRY OPERATES. Please keep up the good work Mr Moore and Co!

I fully support the passage of this bill. I intend to work within my church, the school district I work for and my community to make people aware of this bill and the need for it's passage. It is time to end this national disgrace and take back our country from the wealthy self interest groups and the politicians they have paid for.

It is time to stop making the delivery of medical care contingent on its profitability to insurers. The current system makes both the providers and the recipients of medical services suffer excessive costs that will be eliminated by a single-payer program.

It's sad that we live in the greatest and richest country in the world and the people are oppressed to accepting such inhumane acts upon each other. Luckily within the past 20 years information cannot not be suppressed as easily and globalization is changing the way business is conducted. I truly believe Americans are some of the most educated and privelaged people in the world, but it is shocking to see ourselves being deceived that everything we do is perfect.
Hopefully, enough information can spread on this matter, bills like H.R. 676 could get passed, people will take action and vote on important issues such as healthcare, and the people strive to make this nation the great country we all believe it is. We as a nation have become too complacent with accepting everything that is fed to us as the "American Way" and therefore it must be superior. Hopefully we as a nation could force change through education and information.
I am sure with over 8,000 petitioners my voice will not be heard here, but I will do my best to make my voice heard at the ballot box and in any other organization that pushes for healthcare change. If anyone does read this, I urge you to do the same.
One thing I have learned from being a member of a capitalist society. Trying to take away money from large corporations will not be easy. Their lawyers and their money will fight the poor and middle class "little" people of this country until they are demoralized and tired and don't want to fight no more. Hopefully we never become too demoralized and too tired to fight for what we believe in, because that is the "American Way". Hopefully just because companies give us just enough money to get by in life, we are not distracted from pushing for something better. There is one thing I know about the human spirit as well....You could only bring people down for so long before they have enough and FORCE change. Good luck everyone!
