    THE PETITION

    Whereas: We spend over $2 trillion for healthcare in the US, yet 50 million are still not covered and another 50 million are being denied care by their insurance companies;

    Whereas: Whereas the healthcare coverage in the United States is ranked #37 in the world by the World Health Organization and yet we spend almost twice as much as any other country, enough to cover everybody with excellent comprehensive healthcare;

    Whereas: A bill has been proposed in Congress, HR-676, non-profit Medicare for All, that outlines a national health care program that will provide guaranteed choice, quality affordable health care and prescription drugs to everyone in the country;

    Whereas: Over 15,000 doctors have signed on in favor of this plan, including two former U.S. Surgeons General;

    Whereas: Under this proposed plan, we can pay for a comprehensive national health care program with the same money we are now spending by removing insurance companies -- and cover every single person in the United States;

    And Whereas: The bill provides money for retraining and giving priority to those whose jobs as administrators in the insurance industry would be lost as a result of this shift;

    Be it Resolved That: We call on our members of Congress to pass HR 676, non-profit Medicare for All, so our people and our nation can have the excellent health care system we deserve. Health care is a human right, and we call on our members of Congress to recognize that right.

    Excellent idea.

    This idea makes sense in so many ways it boggles the mind that it hasn't happened and is being fought now. The current bill does nothing to lower insurance premiums and does nothing to create competition for lower premiums.

    Some in America are so afraid of the term socialism they have determined we should do nothing for our fellow citizen and everyone for themselves is what our forefathers wanted. I say we have to determine as a society if “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness” includes healthcare as a basic human right. We need to decide as a society if the health of our nation depends as much on its doctors and hospitals as it does on its bombs and bullets. No one seems to have a problem with our military being run by the government.

    Not only should we have a "strong public option" (i.e., Medicare) FOR ALL. But MORE IMPORTANTLY, "quality" healthcare for ALL. Being on Medicare for several years, I must say I've been openly "patronized" by most Medicare practitioners...to the point of SERIOUS medical "abuse"...in at least 3 instances in last 2+ yrs. In particular, I fell just a few inches 2 yrs ago, and fractured my wrist. Should've been just a "re-set" (which I requested). But in rural Oregon (where I'd just moved), the major medical facility, and ALL its surgeons are "partnered"-in with ALL surrounding major medical facilities (& THEIR surgeons) for 250+ miles. A LOT of conflict-of-interest, anti-trust. Additionally, since "RURAL" doctors are paid MORE by Medicare, given ("incentive") to handle Medicare cases (a provision included in CURRENT health care legislation), more unecessary Medicare "research"/surgeries will be exploited. Surgeries NOT with the patients' best interest, OR full-consent considered. Which brings up MY fracture 2 yrs. ago...as a MEDICARE PATIENT. During which I was: (1) made to wait THREE days for surgery (with a long-term chronic paint condition). [NOTE: 3 hand-orthos were on-staff then, in "non-rush" season; and (2)I was mid-lead about the TRUE extent of the surgery to be performed on my Wrist...by a "newbie" FOOT SURGEON (who failed to tell me he was NOT a HAND surgeon); and (3) I had TEN bolts, a "plate," and a FIVE INCH incision inflicted on my narrow, frail wrist. (AGAIN, a long-term Chronic Pain patient). 2+ yrs. later, with Chronic Pain now "spread" to that Malpracticed Wrist, $25K in doc bills, my hand is seriously crippled, most due to Medicare-funded UNECESSARY extensive "hardware" restricting my Wrist/Hand/Arm's movement. Worse yet, I can NOT get the "all-partnered" rural surgeons here to remove said crippling hardware. They all "line-up" with their "foot surgeon" friend/partner...saying the 10 bolts, plate, and 5" incision are NOT the source of my pain!! Talk about Patronization! And their (joint) insurer taunted me last summer to "sue them"...as they "did NOT think they'd be paid"(by Medicare) for 2nd surgery. So they wouldn't be correcting same. In appealing to my Oregon politicians(many who SAY they're for Public Option/Medicare...I've been offered NO assistance. My local Rep's spouse is our County D.A.! Sen. Wyden's office asked WHY I called HIM??...as he's my "Federal" Senator??? My other two Rep's: Merkley and Telfer both promised to get back to me. Neither did...despite my repeat phone calls; and letter particularly to Telfer (at HER request). She HAD promised to help? In closing, Medicare/Public Option for all. But WITH GUIDELINES that protect ALL Medicare/ Public Option patients...so we're NOT treated like "public" cattle, for Medical research. Particularly in rural areas, where Medicare doctors are given "incentives" to take Medicare cases. "Graft" which can ONLY lead to the kind of "abuse" on Medicare patients I personally describe above. Thank you for your time. There WERE 3 hand surgeons available to perform the surgery, HAD I wanted one. But instead, I was given to a FOOT surgeon (w/ 2 yrs' licensing). Now, because Medicare "will NOT reimburse them" most probably, ALL the "partnered" doctors here refuse to remove the extensive, unwanted "hardware" which cripples my hand. In conclusion, Medicare is great. But the current Senate bill does NOT break-up "anti-trust" monopolies within a state (that WOULD include "medical monopolies" as well as insurance monopolies (such as are in place here in rural Oregon. In addition to providing healthcare for all, we should NOT be forfeiting our rights as patients to sue (IF MALPRACTICE KNOWINGLY IS 'PRACTICED.') There is NO doubt in my mind that the "monopoly" medical facility here did "research" on my arm PRECISELY because I was a Medicare patient. In addition to giving me a newbie "FOOT" doctor to operate on my arm (in a manner NOT agreed upon)...but I had a PRE-EXISTING "chronic pain condition"...which the unnecessary 10 bolts, "plate" and 5" incision exacerbated...and spread to an area NOT previously experiencing "chronic pain." Further, Medicare needs a better "review" mechanism in place, for such instances.

    Healthcare reform that provides access to care for all in need. In this country, for the people and by the people, and taxation. No one should be sick or die because they could not afford to be treated; or they had to chose between basic needs and healthcare.

    I been having an anus infection for over 10 years now, everytime I walk, my anus would hurt make strange sounds and people would just laugh at me. i am too old for this, i have paid into my health insurance, and i cant get any help for my anus infection. they cover name brand prescriptions but not any good anus creams. sometimes, on stormy days, my anus would leak on the floor and I would slip in it. i can not bare the pain no more, so by signing this could help my anus infection, then lets stick it to them, but not in the anus, cause I know how that would feel. do you know what it feels like to fall onto your swollen anus? the infection would pop like a zit. can you imagine that? i can, cause i have a swollen anus thats infected. we need to get this petition done right, so we all can have a good anus without any infections.

    My mother recently passed from Primary CNS Lymphoma. She had health insurance: illegally. She lived in Florida, and had BCBS of Alabama. Not to mention that our family gathered together to pay those insurance bills. Thank God, they never caught on, because BCBS of Florida for an individual would have been unaffordable (hell it was for me as an individual, and I was a healthy 25 year old guy!). If Mama hadn't had the insurance, she might not have had the wonderful last four months.

    I am a folk musician/singer/songwriter activist for affordable healthcare. Many songs reflect concern over healthcare crisis. I am for HR-676; single-payer. The phrases HR-676 and single-payer appear several times in my original lyrics. I have also had a good job yanked with the insurance too, under the weight of this bad economy. I have a challenge of Aspergers Syndrome (mildly autistic); so I represent a citizen group that the privatized healthcare is clearly unfair to. Sometimes it is harder for us to get a job; but without a job (or without a darn good job) how can we have insurance? In all reality, private insurance is unfair to everybody. Even the one who got out of line at work and got fired doesn't deserve to lose his coverage. Healthcare is a public defense issue.

    Having health care for all will improve the overall health of all citizens and make us a more productive society. In the long run,it will be less expensive. Postponing or neglecting health care is a costly wat ti take care of our health needs.

    The USA is stupid if we don't get Universal Health Care! It will CURE A LOT OF ILLS in more ways than one automatically! It will make OUR country stonger and more effcient in many ways! Burdens will be relieved and the MIDDLE CLASS will grow and strengthen if it happens. The HAPPY QUOTIENT WILL GO WAY UP!! Broad brush statements, but dig into the reasons and convience the contrares of thier backwards thinking!

    Enough is enough. This issue is at a critical stage and needs to be addressed by people who have compassion and will silence this group who speak out of both sides of their mouths. People who have the intellect to see that the current healthcare system is shameful and embarrassing. People who can walk away from the money and see the truth. Finally, people who will act in a just and fair way to end this suffering of many for the profit of a few.

    What happened to the "change you can believe in"? This past week; Senator Max Baucus, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, having already preemptively excluded any participation of a credible spokesperson for single payer health care, laughingly joked "we need more police". Qualified doctors and lawyers protested their exclusion from the debate, and were thrown out of the room. I have had enough of this kind of joking and the pretense associated with this debate. Apparently, this jocularity was not only Baucus’ doing, the whole Senate panel erupted into laughter. So-called "liberals", like John Kerry, needed to get in his own wisecrack, saying "Is there anybody in the audience who didn't ... uh ... come to ..." before it finally occurred to Baucus how incredibly bad this would look on video. He interrupted Kerry, to try to resume projecting their bogus concern and compassion. Who do you people think you are? I am in need of medical care – the PA-C I am so “lucky” to have for my “health-care” has already told me she does not know how to dose my lifetime meds! That’s pretty funny, huh? I find none of the Senator's words laughable and I am very insulted by the falsehoods that people like me have been told about the compassionate “liberals” for whom I voted. None of you will be getting my vote if you do not put into law a single-payer health plan! I believe that the Dems are chickening out on single-payer health insurance. I am STILL not laughing!

    Health care is a basic right. It should NOT be an industry. And I don't buy the malarkey that if we don't pay the doctors and researchers very handsomely they won't try to treat and/or work hard to find a cure for cancer or Lou Gehrig's, etc. EVERYONE is capable of getting any horrible disease. Therefore the motivation to research and cure is innate in all of us. No, we won't lose the "best and the brightest" with universal health care....we'll lose the greediest.

    I whole heartedly support a single payer healthcare system. I also would like to see free scholarships for anyone who qualifies for medical school. (payback could come in the form of promising one year service in low income or rural areas.) Also think Govt. financed liability insurance for doctors would be a real cost-cutter. Any doctor found guilty more than once of malpractice would then have to pay for private insurance.

    I'm 25 yrs old and have no medical insurence.I've tried to go to free health clinics but get turned away.I also don't have the extra money to pay monthly at outragous costs for medical insurence because most plans still dont cover what i need and i have to get them separately,I can't go to the emergency room because it takes 7-10 hrs (literally) and they usually don't diagnose right,tell me what i already now but don't help the situation or i leave before actually seeing the doctor and still get billed.I think everyone should have a right to healthcare no matter what situation your in.

    we all need afforable health care not just the old and disable but everyone who can't afford the high price health care preuims of the big companys like blue cross and blue shield, aenta, an unicare, we can't afford that and their no doctor wants to treat you without medical insurnace unless you have cash and that is not possible at all time when you go to the doctor. so how about making some kind of insurance available for the poor and working class citizens and i'm not talking about some rip off quality of life center or no health department either. i'm talking about something that we all can afford to pay for doctor visit,emergency room visits, hospital stay, outpatient care the one day surgery situations. come up with a plan that the poor working class can afford and the middle class, because once you loose your job their are no more benefits or insurance to cover you. i am no of those statistics myself and i know what it feels like not to be able to go to the doctor when i need to . i have several illness and just can't afford to always go. i have to decide between food, pay bills, or try and get some of my medication.

    I grew in Canada, where they have a governmet health care system, and it was wonderful. We didn't have to wait for a year to go to a doctor or find a way to pay for it. My dad went in the hospital for four days and had his ingrown toe nails operated on and it only cost him $3.00 for the entire thing. I know prices have gone up since then, that was back in the early 60's. But still knowing that if you need health care, it won't bankrupt you is a blessing. I totally support this bill for health care for everyone.

    If Cuba, an island nation with little to no resources at their disposal can afford free health care for all it's citizens, then how is it that we, a large, industrialized, and powerful nation, cannot? America is still recognized as one of the very few remaining "Superpowers" in the world, yet more than half of all Americans could not afford to cover the cost of a sudden, catastrophic illness, or injury they may incur in their lives. It makes no sense to me, as a hard working, "middle class" citizen, with membership in a rather large labor union that, if I were to be injured, or become ill, I would have to go so deeply into debt to pay the deductibles on my medical bills that I could lose my home, or possibly lose my ability to feed my family. Yes, I understand that, in order to pay for a National Health Service, my taxes would need to be raised, or other considerations would need to be made. Yes, I understand that I would be contributing to a system that pays for those who may be poorer than myself to receive health care. However with the institution of a "Flat Tax", or balanced tax system in place, that someone richer than myself would also be contributing to my potential use of the service as well. I was raised in a household that swore by the ideal that we MUST help those who cannot help themselves, and that we, as Americans should ALL be viewed as equals. Without comprehensive health care for ALL Americans, covered under the umbrella of a Socialized plan, offering free medical,optical, and dental care for EVERYONE, we are absolutely NOT equal. We are divided by levels of health, and financial ability to maintain said health. This country was founded on a concept of freedom, equality, and fairness that I haven't seen in my lifetime, and unless we take the power away from corrupt insurance companies, and place it back into the hands of Americans, removing the financial burdens of medical bills, and high priced prescriptions, I have no faith in ever seeing that equality, or fairness in my life from this day on. PLEASE, help out our fellow Americans! WE NEED A NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE! If it can work for the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Spain, Cuba, Australia, Germany, Holland, and several other Nations around the world that don't have access to the resources we do, then it can work for us.

This is so NOT right. I am now between a rock and a hard place people in america shouldnt have to worry about whether or not they can pay their bills or take care of their health. It is past time for Congress to pass HR676, Expanded Medicare for All, and stop the suffering of those who cannot afford or make an appointment with a doctor. A Lot of people make the mistake that it's only the uninsured that would want such a bill. As for my family and many other that are insured we are sick of having corporations come between us and our doctors. This is the right way forward for health care reform. Settling for anything less would be getting robbed.

    Self-employed people, such as myself, are payiing ridiculous health insurance premiums for little to no medical coverage in some instances. I think it's a shame that I have to wait until I am really sick or can no longer tolerate symptoms of a medical problem to go to a doctor, because my current policy will only cover 70% of my bill - or nothing at all if the test/procedure is not a "covered" item.

WENDY IN BATON ROUGE RECOMMENDED THAT I STAY ON THE CELEXA AND START THE RELPAX WHEN IT COMES IN, DESPITE WHAT THE FDA SAYS. Dear Ms.********: Thank you for your inquiry to the Division of Drug Information at the Food and Drug Administration. You are correct, you are on quite a bit of medications. One of the concerns that I have is that some of these medications have side effects that may increase some of you symptoms of depression, headache, and drowsiness. Another issue that should be brought to the attention of you doctor/pharmacist is that if you have an allergy to the drug Imitrex, you may have some reaction to the Relpax. Dilantin is a drug that is used to help control you from having seizures, it's a drug that is considered to have a very narrow therapeutic window, which means that the levels of the drug should be monitored otherwise, if elevated or reduced, there is a increased potential for a seizure to occur. Neurontin is another medication to prevent seizures. However, it can cause drowisiness. In addition, both Celexa and the hydrocodone that you have been prescribe will cause additional drowsiness. It is not recommended to take Celexa and Relpax at the same time, as it may lead to what is referred to as serotoinin syndrome. DO YOU WANT TO TAKE ALL OF THESE MEDICATIONS, AND BE TOLD GO HOME AND SLEEP OR AS SSI SAYS, GO BACK TO WORK, WHEN YOU HAVE 3 KIDS? WHY IS IT SO HARD TO JUST SAY ADMIT HER FOR 3-4 DAYS, DO ALL TESTS, ALL, AND INTRAVENOUS MEDICATIONS. HOW HARD IS THAT? YOU COME PAY FOR ALL OF THIS. HAVE ALREADY went to the e.r. , and they gave me a breathing treatment, morphine, and said i only had a cold and told me not to cough. sent me home with a prescription for hyrocodone 500 mgs. never did they treat the infection in my upper pallet of my mouth, which has been swollen and badly infected for well over a month FINALLY THE SWELLING WENT DOWN, BUT FOR HOW LONG, THE INFECTION ALWAYS COMES BACK. even my dentist has treated this before it was this bad 3 times, then i got an ear infection and my mouth swollen up again. since it has never been cured. my dentist said i need to see an EAR, NOSE, AND THROAT SPEACILIST, and so did the pcp doctor i see at our lsu w.o. moss regional charity hospital, in lake charles, la. he wrote a referral to go to lsu charity in lafayette, la, but now they say it might or could take up to 3 months before i am even seen. my goodness, now wonder people or so cautious to vote on an health care issues, while it may help the people in office, it does nothing for those who made the vote and need the help. i have more wrong with me than just a cold, and i cannot be doped upped 24-7. i am 32 yoa, and deserve a life, and deserve to enjoy that life with my family. why do people have to beg so much for help, when it is only 45 minutes away?????????? i have even begged them to just admit me until the e. n. t. can look and treat me, nothing. why??????????no, medicaid, they denied me, no SSIDI, this is the third time DENIED AGAIN, last two times denied, even though i received SSI from child hood into my 20's when they cut me off, yes, i am epileptic also. I SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN CUT OFF OR DENIED.!!!!!!!!!! and please do not tell me or referr me to contact my senators or congressmen in my district, already have. i'm sure they know my name pretty good by now, as well as the epilepsy foundation of louisiana. i went to see my pcp doctor at moss regional in lake charles,la, and he didn't look at my mouth or my ears, we had a few arguments, me and him, he told me i had mood swings and needed to see a psychiatrist, told me to ignore the pain i have, don't think about it, don't take pain medications either, that is when i dropped my pants all the way to the floor and showed him all of my bruises on my legs and body, that i do not know how i got, he said i had to much estrogen, but when i said wrong answer, i had a partial hysterectomy almost 11 years ago, he then said, let me rephrase that, you have or might have low or high estrogen then. as a doctor, he should have looked at my medical chart RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM, and seen that i had a partial hysterectomy almost 11 years ago, before just blurting out a diagnoses, and then having to retract what he said. after arguing for awhile and many tears, trying to just walk out, but my mom stopped me, he then just wrote 3 more prescriptions, never looked at my mouth or ear or asked me about my neck pain. i had TWO filled for $5 and $6 the other 1 is sitting at the hospital pharmacy. As a retired surgeon with more than thirty years experience in clinical surgery and medical education, I would like to suggest the following key ingredients necessary for revamping the American health care system. 1) Universal Health Care structured as an extension of the Medicare program. Such care should be affordable but not free. A graduated premium linked to taxable income should be set. Wealthy taxpayers should expect to pay more. Poor people may not pay at all. Working people could have their premium withheld from their regular paycheck. Participation in the program would be optional but within set parameters. Choice of physician would be determined by the individual. 2) Physicians would be allowed a defined period to opt into or stay out of the program. 3) Undergraduate and graduate medical education should be subsidized to an appreciable extent, depending on financial status and wish of the student. In return, graduating physicians would be obligated to serve one to two years in national service. For graduating medical students, such time and service could be structured to count as time spent in specialty training. 4) Pharmaceutical companies should have to compete on a global basis for providing drugs to patients in the program. The health care agency would have the right to negotiate internationally for lowest prices. 5) Medical liability must be brought under control for the system to work.. Participating physicians would in effect be government employees. As such they should be entitled to some protection from excessive litigation and judgments. 6) Private insurance companies would have only a marginal role in the system as most citizens would not need a separate policy. Programs such as “Medicare HMO’s” would not be acceptable

    I am a person living with lupus and asthma who, after two years on leave from teaching 700 kids a week and trying to build a business, is left with no choice but to return to that job solely because it is the only means of insuring me and my whole family. Doing that job also puts me in the hospital yearly. Sadly, the fact is that the only job that pays me to be deathly ill is also the one that puts me in the hospital annually, and out of commission for 6-8 weeks of the year. In addition, if I don't drop my business and return to the job that threatens my life, I won't be insurable at all once the COBRA runs out. Leaving people with pre-existing health conditions literally "uninsurable" (and/or tied to jobs they can no longer do because of their illnesses) in this country today is unconscionable. The sad fact is that in the US people without serious health conditions conditions are "free" to work wherever and for however long they want, while also not recognizing that if they do end up on the unlucky end of the Roulette wheel and get sick, they can be ruined financially and end up homeless in weeks, not to mention uninsurable for life; people who are sick are forced to either work at jobs they can't physically do without risking life and limb day-to-day, and the lucky few people who happen to be well and also have health plans through their workplaces don't realize until something happens how broken our health care system is, until something happens to them or someone they love.

    I am a 33 year old wife and mother. I work a full time job and I am lucky to work for a company that offers what many would consider a very good benefits package. However, with the American economy in the shape it's in right now, I'm definitely worried about my job security and what would happen if my family were suddenly left without health insurance. America needs universal coverage and we should not beg for it. WE SHOULD DEMAND IT!!! I'm sure I'm not alone when I look at my budget and realize we barely have enough take home to "just pay the bills". With hugely increasing costs of insurance premiums, co-pays, and deductibles, just "getting by" is getting increasingly more difficult. I'm certainly willing to pay more in taxes if that means I don't have to worry about losing my house if someone in my household ends up hospitalized.

    Support HR676, but don't be fooled by the Health Care for American Now (HCAN) or the Barak Obama Health Care plan They are Democratic Party leadership scams to protect the insurance companies by creating a health care system that will irritate the hell out of you and will easily fail. If the Democratic Party controls the Senate, House & President next year, why can't we finally have real health care reform. Universal National Health care will only work if it is single payer and the blood sucking for profit insurance industry is removed from making the decisions about our health care. HR676 and CA SB840 are excellent bills already available, but need your support. HR676 has over 70 House sponsors. CA legislature has repeatedly passed SB 840, but Governor Schwarzenegger has threatened to veto SB 840 again on the grounds that "healthcare is not a right." Would you want insurance companies running your public school system and deciding what education your child would be allowed to have or not have based on their profit margin. The Government run Medicare system has been far and away a more efficient and cost effective health system for senior citizens. It only exists because senior citizens were not profitable for the private sector. Yet they are trying to privatize parts of it where ever they can milk a profit. Look at what a mess they are doing to Seniors with the new privatized prescription system. This is Senior citizen abuse!!! How can this HCAN succeed when it is set up to promote the insurance companies by letting them keep the profits of those who can afford to pay for insurance while the tax payer picks up the bill for the poor. Doesn't it sound like the $7oo billion Wall Street bailout, the Savings & Loan bailout, the privatiztion of our social, military and National securtiy systems, where the private sector keeps the profits and saddles the public with the risks and its losses! Don't let this Trojan Horse HCAN ruin our best chance for real health care reform. Didn't we learn anything from the so called Clinton Health care reform movement that evolved into our current super health care disaster where the private sector is sucking us financially dry while destroying many of those who desparately need real health care! You be the Judge Health Care for American Now (HCAN) http://healthcareforamericanow.org/ Barak Obama Health Care plan http://www.barackobama.com/issues/healthcare/ What is HCAN really http://www.pnhp.org/blog/2008/07/10/what-hcan-is-really-about/ HR676 http://www.healthcare-now.org/hr676.html Californa's SB 840 waiting Governor Schwarzenegger signature http://www.onecarenow.org/sb840.htm

    How much would you pay for just one more day of life, when you know you will die tomorrow? How much would you pay for a mediciation that will stop your childs pain? The United States of America, unlike any country in the world has placed a price tag on the quality of life for you, your children and all americans. If we can stand to be the greatest country in the world, let us implement a socliaized medicine policy that will be the best in the world. I'm only 38, a lawyer, and have a family of four. I have tried a high-deductible HSA plan for two yours, with all the tax benefits thereof. The result - I'm going slowly broke, have no savings, and owe taxes. $12,000 of dental expenses, on top of the $5300 in health insurance premiums make all the tax credits offered a ridiculous joke. Also, doctors and hospitals have no clue what the services they render cost. So much for the "free market." My health, or lack of it, should not be the foundation for someone else's profit.

The proposal is not well known outside of the medical world, and even within, most people i've talked to are unaware that such a bill exists. Despite our arrogance we constantly come bottom or near bottom on the list of industrialized countries around the world that provide health care. We are supposedly the richest, most wonderful country in the world and we can't provide health care for our citizens?! It's a national disgrace and makes us the laughing stock of other nations. To put all 303,800,000 in one risk pool--the healthyan dthe sick, the old and the young, all ethnicities and "races"--is simple common sense. The larger the risk pool, the lower the cost--and taking out the obligation of private companies to make a profit just allows more money to go into actual health care. Please check out the Physicians for a National Health Program (www.pnhp.org) for a look at the current broken system from inside.
